The NYBA 9U Select team just came off a finals appearance in the Toronto TBAs. They lost the Friday night game but won twice on the Saturday to get to the Championship Sunday, where they unfortunately fell short playing against Leaside. The boys fought really hard and have the OBAs coming up Labour Day weekend.

Along with parent and professional coaches, the 9U Select team had two volunteer coaches Matteo Ruiz and Nick Saldanha. Both Matteo and Nick had played for NYBA for several years and were eager to return – not as players but as coaches. They were assigned to the 9U Select and later to the 7U Development team.

Matteo and Nick have been a wonderful addition to the NYBA coach roster.

North York Baseball Association provides House League and Elite/Rep/Select levels of play for boys and girls 6-18. Games are played at Bond Park in North York. NYBA is celebrating 50 years of serving the community!
