15U Select TBA 2nd place finish.

After playing an undefeated season, 10-0, the NYBA 15U Select players went into the TBAs on a high note.

They won their first two games but lost to Leaside in the third. Won our last game to finish the TBA playoffs at 3-1.

The Blues met Leaside in the championship round and needed to win both games (7 inning game) to win the TBAs. They won their first game 11-5 and was leading 7-6 with 2 outs in the 2nd to last inning. On the next pitch, the batter grounded to the pitcher who fielded it but threw it over the 1st baseman’s head for an error.

The team proceeded to give up 3 more runs before they could get the last out. They scored 1 run in the top of our inning to come within 1 run but they scored another 4 in the bottom of the inning to close it out.

The last game ended in a loss for the 15U Select blues 12-7. They are pictured here hoisting their runner-up trophies!

Despite the last loss, the NYBA 15U Select players are proud of their season and look forward to returning next year!
