Behind a deep pitching staff, solid defense, and some well timed hits the 14UAAA Blues took first place in their division with a 4 to 1 victory over Tecumseh Rangers Saturday evening.

On Sunday they got into the championship game with a 5 to 4 win over the host Windsor Stars and then took the trophy with a 6 to 5 victory over the Riverside Royals in a back and forth championship match.

A 2-out 2-run single in the top of the 6th inning gave the Blues the final lead of the game and a deflected ground ball 1-4-3 put out in the seventh inning, with the tie run at 3rd base, sealed the tournament win.
