NYBA Umpire, Isaac Zazlov will be participating in the 26th Ontario Games to be held in Mississauga July 22-24.

Twenty 15U male teams from across Ontario will be participating in the 3-day tournament. Isaac, a Level 3 umpire, applied for the position through Baseball Ontario.

Isaac began umpiring when he was 11, making this his sixth year. After umpiring for two years, he hung up his PeeWee glove and decided to concentrate exclusively on umpiring.

At Bond Park, Isaac can be seen at any of the 5 diamonds, umpiring games for Rookie Ball all the way up to 16UA Midget. He also umpires for Leaside Baseball and the East Toronto Baseball Association.

When not umpiring, Isaac is a swim coach and lifeguard. He will be taking his instructors course to teach The Lifesaving Society’s Bronze Level courses and Star Cross. He is a Master Cadet at Moss Park Armoury, with the 48th Highlanders RCACC.

This coming school year, he will complete grade 12 at Danforth Collegiate and is looking to pursue a degree in culinary arts.

Congratulations Isaac! Have a great time umpiring and meeting new friends!
