13U Select Team 2- Take First Loop Game

NYBA is pleased to be fielding two 13U Select teams in 2022.

Our Select ‘2’ is a brand new team, many also playing in the NYBA house league series.

This victory photo (taken before the 2022 uniforms were delivered) shows the team after winning their first loop game against Wexford Agincourt. The NYBA Blues won 11-5 behind strong pitching from Issac Fiamengo and Jayson Sone.

David Murray led the way with three stolen bases. Noah Klimitz drove in the first RBI of the year while Jacob Ferris crunched a hard base hit to close the scoring.

For most of the team, this was their first select game and their first win!

Coach Eryn Sone was delighted with his team.

“Many of the players came up afterwards and thanked me for letting them play select ball” stated Sone. “That’s what baseball is all about!”

North York Baseball Association has been providing House League and Rep/Select levels of play for boys and girls 6-18. Games are played at Bond Park in North York. NYBA is celebrating 50 years of serving the community!
